I'd expect Moltzan, Shiffrin, and O'Brien to get second runs. Hopefully at least one other can throw in.

It’s a tough pick!
Shiffrin
Bassino
Gisin

Gut
Vhlova

Lara Colturi (2006) making her WC debut! Skied well in SA this summer.

Daughter of Daniella Ceccarelli. Representing Albania. Youngest World Cup debut in a super long time.
Wow, won’t be 16 till mid November!

Looking at her mom, she race in Torino in 2006. Some two months pregnant.

Earlier this week I was thinking Worley for the win but I switched my thinking & pick to Shiffrin.

Shiffrin
Brignone
Worley

I watched a few of Colturi’s SA runs this summer. I think she won one when Hector had trouble in the 2nd run.
I guess US skier Jemison (they have her down as Sunshine on the start list) was pretty good on Europa Cup or NorAm last year.

I had Brignone winning, then switched to Shiffrin and Bassino. Wonder if it’s too steep for Bassino to shine though.

Heh, i forgot who i picked so I went and looked, and the editor had chopped out my number 2 before posting. It’s in now. Bassino. I have about a 30% confidence level in my picks. I’m taking a flyer on Gisin.

Colutri won 10 races this summer in Chile/Argentina.
Hector only had 1 FIS start this summer, and won a GS in Argentina, Colturi was 5th behind three other Swedes.

I put Brignone in there because she probably won’t hold back if the conditions are gnarly & her #1 start. Probably should’ve thrown Robinson & Hector in there too just cuz you know they’ll throw down.

I guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention. Any way she (Colturi) looked solid

Well, Mom’s out of town. Eating at bar and drinking Stiegel to get it going and get ready for Soelden. Daughter wore her Ski Team sweatshirt (by accident). Pretty sure she couldn’t care less.

I see Alice Robinson has switched skis to Salomon. Is that significant?

Possibly - she said in a recent interview the Salomons are easier to set up for various conditions.
