What a gap between 2 and 3. That seems different.

Is tomorrow (Jan 29) a slalom or GS for the girls?
The Women's FIS Alpine Schedule, which I believe they keep updated, states today was a GS and tomorrow a SL.
Likely I missed something.
Thanks.

The FIS live timing site has it listed as a slalom. Same time as the race today, 3:30AM EST 1st run, 6:30 EST 2nd run.

Course setters here (bottom)

Both runs were set very turny on the top pitch (different setters). Seemed fine to me, mix it up for some challenge. Still flowed and had enough speed for those who were on it.

(In contrast, run 1 in Wengen Men's SL was really not a good set...)

Liensberger and Gisin have been getting “trounced” all season though… don’t think that was particular to this course set

Katharina Liensberger and her coach Livio Magoni, parted company on Monday. Magoni doesn’t speak German and Liensberger’s English isn’t very good so there were communication problems.

Because of a foot problem Michelle Gisin is having to ski in boots that are a size larger than the ones she used to carry out set up work during the summer.

Jörgen Nordlund set the first run. He was head coach in my oldest daughters club 5/6 years ago, when she was a U14 and U16. Very good at setting tricky ones who made the girls really have to think about what they were doing themselves, insted of telling them ”do that do this”.

Is tomorrow (Jan 29) a slalom or GS for the girls?
Today was a makeup for Zagreb.

Shiffrin with the fastest 2nd run again! Even with a pretty substantial mistake on the first pitch she absolutely smoked the rest of the course!!
Watch out for Ljutic, she may just be the heir apparent? & Aronsson? Where is Coultori?
Moltzan looked solid, if she keeps it she should move into that top group soon.

Tomorrow could be a little tougher with slightly later starting numbers but I am thinking a repeat of today’s podium.
