Skiki, I had to have my perineal tendon repaired a few years ago and despite be very careful with moving around, articulating the legs, wearing the compression socks, etc., I wound up with blood clots in my lower leg. My surgery was in August, but I had to stay on blood thinners through January. I refused to stop skiing, but there was a significant risk associated with my obsession.
I was able to return to skiing 7 months after my ACL surgery. Is your surgeon suggestion otherwise? The big issue, as I understand it, is the risk you have at about 3 months post op. That's when you start to feel pretty good and you're more susceptible to doing something that risks tearing the anchor for the repair. So be sure to stay on the schedule of what's allowed...
