Spain won’t loose the e258 million as design has been done wrong but they didn’t start building the rail cars yet.

They’ll just tear up the plans and start over.
Costs will go way up and delivery gets delayed for years ! The builder, of course, could legally go ahead with the contract & start building useless cars. LOL. Likely not.

Wonder if there is a secondary market for train cars like there is for commercial aircraft? It was a very common practice for airlines to purchase excess construction slots and sell them for a premium to other airlines who chose to pay more for faster delivery.
These guys could end up being heroes.

Doubt if much of a market for train cars as the control & comm systems are somewhat custom. Likely OK for other EU countries.
