It's a Salomon Performa 4.99, that's not a boot you base a new purchase off of. It's 'flex rating' is immaterial, it is needless static noise. The only thing that needs to be known is it is over 20 years old, it was a low end recreational high volume boot that was sold primarily in Big Box Sporting Goods stores. Tell her "Aim Higher" with her next boot. Don't get caught up in minutiae about a low end boot that is that old, seriously, it just doesn't matter.
