Saw that when it came out - really drives home how selective ski construction has to be wrt snow inputs, doesn't it. Love the image of ski tips whirling about while the skier thinks he is riding a clean arc.
Nice video. I have old cell phone (Treo!) footage of my ski tips on a fast free skiing run with SG skis and at several points the tips are 30-degrees to forward motion (not doing anything rad either, pretty much just going straight along but 55-60mph for sure). I was shocked watching it in slow motion because the tips were all over the place yet it felt like a smooth fast run. The snow was quite a bit rougher than a WC track though.
I have a worse frame where the tip is even more angled but it crops out.
