After the abysmal race season that I had, and given the fact that I do like to cycle through skis, I reached out to Augment for their 24/25 Race folder...Even though I have already made the 'mental commitment' to go to Vandeer for the 24/25 season, I wanted to get some information from Augment on their skis.
Got this email response from the factory: Augment will not produce RACING SKIS in future, therefore I cannot offer you the requested models. AUGMENT.ski will focus on touring skis and backcountry.

When I reached out to Vandeer for information they said that their 24/25 skis will 'be holdovers' from the 23/24 season.
I went through more than a few forums looking for information on how they actually ski and what they compare to but have not been able to get any reviews for the PRO XL...
Anybody here have any first hand experience on how they actually ski? I have been on the Atomic 183/24m RS with Marker Alu plate for the past few years with a little Fischer 181/21m Master sprinkled. Have also skied the 183/23m Nordica/Blizzard tweener ski...
The only feedback I received at Masters Nationals this year, from a guy on the 185 Augments, was" "Its a really well built ski"

Anybody have any broad stroke comparisons to other masters GS skis? @ScotsSkier (?)

At least for last season, Augment and Van Deer race skis are identical, as are several other of their skis.

A bit of info on the Augment 188/30 here: https://www.skitalk.com/threads/mas...-tweener-masters-etc.22461/page-7#post-858021

And some on the Augment Race Pro GS 181/21: https://www.skitalk.com/threads/2017-masters-and-beer-league-gs-skis.3271/page-4#post-697085

Well. I now feel a bit dumber seeing your response but thank you :)
I read most of those but didnt see anything on people who switched/what they switched from/etc. Ill keep digging!

Also, dumb question: It looks like you get what you get with the VD skis in regards to flex...what 'flex number' did they end up with for the commercial race?

I am really itching for a pair of Van Deer SL World Cup: https://vandeer-redbull-sports.com/products/sl-world-cup.
I already own Stockli FIS SL and Atomic FIS SL. Stocklis are definitely more tame versus the Atomics but the Atomics are a lot more fun to ski - they almost catapult you into the next turn ... I actually use them on a Nastar GS course since the gates are not really "GS spaced". Anyways, has anyone tried the SL World Cups?
