Everyone likes a good bargain. What are some of the deals that you found that are well past you average "half off deals"? Getting the Larson storm door at 80% off from Lowes was what got me thinking about this.
A few years back we stopped at Ikea to pick up a few things and found some 6' butcher block counter tops in the clearance area for $10.00 each. These were originally $150.00, we put as many in the TDI wagon as we could carry. I needed sheling for the garage and we cut some in half for that, made some work benches, office desks. We went back recently and they had some more and picked them up too.
Back in the 80's I stopped in a small audio store in Bethlehem and in the clearance area, they had 3 Bang & Olufsen turntables for $30 each. I grabbed one and broght it home. As I was walking into the apartment, I dropped it. It didn't break the turntable but the cover. I went back to pick up another one (and sold that one to a friend for $25). A year or so later, my ex wife left it run for days and the motor quit. I went back to the shop and the third one was still there. That one lasted me another 10 years.
