Merry Christmas from Cedar Key Fl.
And a post I shared elsewhere this morning.
"
As a child I was well known as one of the most over excited, impatient and annoying people on Christmas morning. My dad would tease me by taking his time getting ready in the most lethargic manner possible. Or at least that is how it felt in my eyes.
This morning, slowly drinking coffee with a book on the porch swing, showering without haste I thought for a moment my excitement of youth had worn out. Replaced by the more mature persons enjoyment of the calm and considered. Maybe my father was right all those years.
Then I realized I have simply transferred that excitement. The same annoying child, excited beyond reasonableness appears many mornings a year. He pesters
Kaitlyn to get moving faster. For this almost 30-year old, the magic of Christmas mornings comes many days a year. Except the amount of gifts-fresh turns-is limited only by the energy in my legs.
Powder days are my new Christmas.
