All of us are used to multi-resort passes and long discussions about the merits of each pass. This "Planet Pass" takes that concept a different direction, sending registration money several different directions towards non profits that advocate for the planet. Not surprisingly, this comes from 1% for the Planet. As the TGR article describes:

"Think of it as the season pass that keeps on giving. It’s like an Ikon Pass for environmental causes, giving passholders membership of Protect our Winters, The National Forest Foundation, the Save the Waves Coalition, Tree Sisters, and Slow Food.... The My Planet Pass Program drew inspiration from the popular multi-mountain pass programs that have revolutionized the ski industry, making skiing and riding accessible beyond its core audience."

Mods: I realize this may be more political than the forum allows. If so, remove.
The inspiration from multi-resort passes is really interesting.
