Rossignol Black Ops 98 - Gap In Edges

Afternoon Gang,
Just pulled a pair of new 2023 Black Ops 98’s (172 length) after ordering them and noticed 4 gaps in the edge about the thickness of a penny on the tips and tails. 4 total - see pics. I spoke to Rossi and they said “it’s their new design per the engineers” and we’re very short with me (basically rushed me off the phone). The folks who I ordered them from (not Rossi) said it’s normal but in all my years of skiing I have never seen these kinds of breaks in the edges. They are not on the portion of the edge that contact the snow (when in groomers) BUT they seem sloppy and sharp and def susceptible to catching tree bark, rock faces or anything for that matter (car seats etc). The company I ordered from say “it’s normal” even though NONE of the ski shops I spoke to who sell Rossi said their Black Ops have these “voids” if you will.

Anyone out there whether Rossi or not have these on their skis?

Issue with new skis

I picked up a new pair of Black Diamond Helio 95's and noticed that the edge near the tip did not properly line up. I had my bindings mounted and did not notice until afterwards. Its my fault for not properly inspecting them prior to buying however is this a structural issue? I don't understand...
