Had someone hit me in Austria 1985/86 season, knocked me out (woke up in the clinic) and he was in worse shape had to go the hospital. Still to this day, I jump out of my skin when I hear someone sliding behind me, or zooms past me too close. Seems like it happens every ski day, but I ski real slow and make lots of turn, I'm not a zoomer. I try to pick a line close to the trees off to the side of the run and make predictable turns, but there seems to always be someone that tries to zoom between me and the trees.
One reason I like skiing bumps, don't have to worry about the zoomers.
