Oh you tease you.

An Alfa AND a 3.0 in the lot and THOSE are the pics you post?
I think that is a 633...either way, they are pretty common...but a jacked 245? Oh my. I bet it's pretty good in the snow too.

The Volvo looks tilted. Some Classic Range Rovers had that issue.
It is a pretty cool Volvo. I have seen much higher Volvo’s of the next gen, but none that practical.
So, “good in snow”, meaning the running gear and motor is not Volvo.

Is the Alfa missing the front bumper? Or does it just have a receding chin? Anyway, it caught my eye too. The red thing is just ... too much makeup.

There are a number of things that bother me about that car. The wheels and the missing "folded arms" wipers shout "someone fancied it as a race car". So the lack of bumper is to some extent valid. But the antenna eyesore isn't.

Those receding chin designs always looked their best with the split two-piece Euro bumpers. IMO and YMMV but I'm not budging. The double-plus-sign -+-+- US bumpers were simply ridiculous. Given any excuse I'd remove them too.

If you squint a little, that reminds me of the older Jeep Cherokee (which a friend of mine is STILL driving).

245 is the old RWD one, right? I have driven one in the snow - obviously not lifted with serious tires - and it was truly one of the worst handling snow cars I've been in.

240 series + 5 door = 245. I have driven these and other RWD Volvos and IMHO opinion their Scandinavian heritage comes out when they have 4 winter tires on them, I found that they are some of the better RWDs of the era.

Someone must have removed the winter-regulation ten cases of aquavit from the cargo area of the one I drove.

Does the Volvo have enough power for donuts?
The 240 had 114 if the meanest Shetland Ponies you would ever want to meet.

Even the Turbo was a whopping 155hp. My father had a '85 with a few mods that was probably ~180hp. It was considered quick in the mid to late '80s.

Saab Turbo with Darth Vader wheels. Those early Saab turbos had a distinctive burbling sound. Huge lag though.
I guess they’re called Inca wheels-
