I can finally claim my first day! Well half day, had to go watch the neices and nephews in the Nutcracker in the afternoon.

It was an early season pow day, don't turn to hard or you'll go thru and find the organic matter.

Finally got to ski on Friday!! Snow wasnt great but considering the warm weather and rain we've been having it was surprisingly good. Got 47 runs in before going for a beer. That's getting your 24000ft the hard way!. My legs are still sore this morning.

5 days of which 3 were the CSIA Pro Day Camp. So lots of standing around.

Took the boys out last night. 2 runs and they picked up where they left off. Hope to get out again maybe next tuesday after school for #2

Day one for me - at Big Snow mainly to make sure my boy's boots were OK for him. They were, but he complained of neck pain from the weight of his helmet. Same helmet he used last year, so that was a little concerning.

Sometimes I need to chill, but people cutting the lift line piss me off. I called out one couple doing it, and the guy had the gall to say I wasn't keeping up when there were at least five groups in front.

Then when we get to lift I asked him and his girl to come up and join us - it was a quad. Fill the chair if you can (unless you have covid worries - I'm cool with that ). He was surprised but they got on. Then crashed getting off - LOL.

Later a guy getting on with his daughter plus me and my boy was totally in the wrong place and missed the chair, while his daughter got on. She seemed like a fairly new snowboarder. I took the liberty of checking if she knew how to get off. She said yes, and was doing OK coming off, but starting panicking leaning back - I said "Stay forward, stay forward" and she did, kept it up and slid to a stop, then did a salute. Cool.

Still stuck at day 1, and that sucks. Cardiologist says maybe around New Years.

Day 1. Timberline Lodge, Mt Hood, OR. Absolute bluebird!

Skied sixth day at Dodge ridge with 2 feet of POW Friday then went rock climbing that afternoon at a wet crag in the foothills!

About 3” of fresh. Got skied out pretty quickly. Longest line all day was about 5 minutes. Skied with my 12yo, a buddy from Chicago and his 17 year old. Really fun day.

5- Gore- Very nice day with lots of sunbeams, no people, 14 in our posse today, we were the crowd, lots of ripping on firm base with loose granular-Guns were on top ridge all day- They did a great job without mother nature's help. Wild Air was pick of the day. And to start the day, I got one of the gondola's my Dad's mentioned in! So glad I got his ski genes. (he named Showcase)
