Did you catch the rope drop on MB Cirque?
That rope dropped fairly late--I was watching for you as I rode up Porky but the rope hadn't dropped yet. Looks like Alec?
What's going on at Alta today? Got there this morning -- albeit a bit late at 10 AM -- and there was no parking. Lift-line at Collins was super long I started at it for 3 minutes, then turned around and went home. Got to Snowbasin at 12:30 and skied until 3:45. No line was at Strawberry. No line at the main gondola.
As I'm usually an early morning skier at Snowbasin, so today's afternoon run was an interesting experiment.

LCC has been off-the-hook some of the best skiing on Earth atm. That and VERY few people made it up Monday for the storm so everyone was pushed to Tuesday. Today it was back to ski-on and no people. Also yesterday it cleared out quickly. I skied onto Collins for the 3:30-4:30 shift. No snake heading down either despite nearly full lots at both resorts during the AM.
Rambled over to Nordic Valley around 10am this morning. I had purchased an online ticket pre-season for the outrageous cost of $9. The cheap ones are up to $19 now so not sure if I can afford to go back.
My late start made it almost impossible to find a parking spot
I came to check out the relatively new Nordic Express lift & terrain
Of course by the time I got over there the lift lines were almost intolerable
& once you loaded it took almost 5 minutes to rise what I would guess at about 1400’. Luckily it is a 6 pack so plenty of room to stretch out & take a nap
The runs were so crowded that it was difficult to safely wind your way through the crowds on these twisty, rolling solid blue groomers

If there was ever a year to ski Nordic Valley, this is it. Cold and lots of snow even at the lower elevations.
Relaxing at the base of Solitude. Skied nicely and fairly empty.

I was paying into SS today, alas. And fighting work fires. Will make it out tmw afternoon.
Didn't see Jim. Heading to Brighton tomorrow and then probably take the weekend off.
