Balaclava for bald guy (using helmet)

This said, I would like to get one of those helicopter/aircraft beanies that are worn under a flight helmet.

Would you consider a Belgian cap?

Never heard of one, but, wouldn't the lid be a bit of a nuisance (impeding vision)?
On the other hand, and not strictly related to something that goes underneath an helmet, as a young teenager, I skied with a Conte of Florence version of a cowboy hat (red, waterproof)
Stopped when one girl asked me why I was skiing with a Priest's hat...

No. And the proof is tens of thousands of cyclists who wear goggle-sized sunnies with cycling caps and helmets over top.

The brim is actually really nice to have in freezing or wet precip.
