I also have an old doormat made of rubber with little nobbins all over it. It should stick and conform to parking lot ice better. Will probably use it instead of the rigid plastic tray.

Since I won't be doing any demos this winter, I should set my tent up behind my truck for extra shelter. I'll use the snow fence as a distancing barrier around the perimeter.

I wouldn’t use any kind of plastic tray out in the cold. It won’t last very long. Rubber or even carpet is better.
It is ment to keep your feet clean and dry. I would not use it to kick my heel back even if I did that any more. Plus it was a bit of a wim just to post the photo.
