Well... That's a can of worms. I had no problem wearing a t-shirt and jeans while riding. Helmets are mandatory here. There are some who quote religiously, all the gear all the time. It's personal risk acceptance. I didn't fall off in thirty years of riding. What are the odds?? up to you ..

Yesterday was fun. Rode the Roughouse to a weekly event at a school and church campus. Came out afterwards, turn the key and push the starter.. NOTHING! Jiggle the key and try again.. NOTHING.. Try to kick it.. NOTHING.. Horn and turn signls work but no spark to the motor.. Starter doesn't even click.. Got a ride home from a friend and left it there. Called roadside assistance.. went to get dinner and came back.. Roadside still not there.. take another look trying all the same things...

Then I see it.... Someone has flipped the KILL SWITCH!! DOH!!! I haven't touched that switch in over 2 years and forgot this bike even had it. Called and cancelled roadside rode it home. Had wife take me back to get the Subaru.

I've gotten out a few times since the end of ski season. Weather has been spectacular, and downright chilly this weekend.

Every time I've planned to pull the Tenere out of storage this spring, the rain has either continued or started again. :(

Looks like we might be out of the woods soon, so stay tuned!

Send some rain this way, getting a little dusty. Monsoon season is just around the corner tho.

What is easier to re-sell and move on, a 500 cc or less beginner friendly motorcycle or a 600 cc sport bike?

Depends on what the buyer is looking for.

Ha ha!

These days, I'd say the beginner-friendly bike. I feel like the sportbike market has been pillaged by all of us getting older, and moving towards ADV-type bikes.

I bet a friendly dealer in your region could give you a good read on this.

Speaking of selling bikes, I had a 1987 Honda Hurricane 600 that I was selling. I had a guy who was currently riding a Yamaha XS650 inquire about it but ultimately didn't buy it because he wanted something more powerful than his 650 and a 600 just wasn't. I tried to explain but got nowhere. Also had a 16 or 16 year old interested for his first bike. I refused to sell it to him. I couldn't live with the thought of a newb with no license or prior riding experience on what was, at the time, a hot 600.

Here and there.
I ride my 2020 Suzuki 650 ADV to the local AA Minor League team for fun. I ride Route 66 historical road to ballpark. Rt66 is 1 block from my home...

How come the dorky narrow tire bike can beat those other racing bikes?
That one you sit back on too, plus shoulder pads? Very different.

Cool! Well that's a pretty weird track thing. Low speed. Super retards are pretty quick given the right conditions.

So, you’re saying those things aren’t going to do well at the Isle of Man race?

Weight? He seemed to gain a fair bit of ground entering the corners.

Crazy handlebars!
