Looking at your location, and wondering if you were one of those on the last packed flights out of the Bay Area to NZ right before the borders slammed shut in early 2020.
I was on a Feb 17 2020 flight from LAX to Auckland on a Boeing 767 and literally everyone could lie down across the seats in cattle class. My fight from JFK to LAX that same morning had just 9 people on it

Glad you made it, just in time. The calm before the storm.

Geez ... COVID nostalgia  .

I went to a micro brewery last night (no surprise).
In Ottumwa, IA (very unusual).
They had a 191? Pierce Arrow single speed racing bike hanging off the ceiling there (very cool).
Turns out there was a palindrome there back in the day.

"Never odd or even".

Perhaps velodrome....?

Ya, spell check didn't know how to spell the word either. Let's redefine the word; a closed circuit bicycle racing oval track with banked corners that were often made of wood.

Thought the bike was a very cool 100+ year old artifact of the bike racing world.

I made a 5 day trip to NH to see my parents. My tourist shots.

Edit: I know this is supposed to be photo of the day, but I got carried away.

I drive a bit, park and train into the airport.

The Westin is a backdrop for the station at DIA.

Leaving LGA after a delay part due to local gale warnings.

Leaving PWM. You can just about see my house near the Observatory. ;-)

Last leg of the return from JFK to DIA. Chasing the sun. The sun won.

While visiting the folks I hung out with my long time pinhead friend (we met tele skiing.) This is my only Mt Washington shot. Lame, right?

My mum takes great pride in her Epiphyllum. My brother does a nice job tending to them.

^The red net that can be spotted in the lower right (viewer's right) corner was a net laid down to separate in half the run, the closed portion being used for the final exam to ski instructors of the Trento provincial "chapter". Some really good skiing was to be seen there...
