Good race, real winter and course held up for all racers. Happy for Team Sweden and ASL who had a middle season last year, coming back from injury. Hanna AE:s started WC last year, JR WChamp, finishing 9 today. A very good skier technically with good sparring in Hector and ASL. Super sweet, humble and with the right attitude. Pressure got to young Cornelia Öhlund and she didn’t make the cut. But she’s 17. Her time will come. New race tomorrow. Nice day for Jörgen, new SL coach.

There's probably more Swedes then Austrians in middle of Austria and by far more then everyone else together. And I'm talking about real kids, not U18 but more like U12.

So weird. This morning I pressed play and the video started with racer 28 or 29, so we even missed the beginning of run 2. I just went back to check and the whole thing is there in one continuous video (almost 5 hours).

I was listening to Alexis Pinturault on French public radio and he was saying pretty much the same. He also said the live coverage could be a lot better. He said it’d be great if broadcasters could find a way to show how steep and icy the courses are so that viewers get a sense of the danger and become more invested.

I would be happy with what we had! This is ridiculous.

If you’re referring to how difficult it is to watch the races from the US, I entirely agree with you! It’s completely insane that a sport that boasts one of the most dominant Americans in any sport —and already a leading GOAT candidate — can’t get a deal with one platform.

Yep. The problem is Wendy needs to ski very well on a day where both Shiffy and Petra are off.
Those days are few and far between.

ASL back in first group, Gisin out. But not as crusial today. Surface super solid. Temps just below -10 C. You do the math

Edit halfway in: turny set.

30 skiers within a second and seven tenths … young Cornelia Öhlund a different skier today and made the cut (27) in her 2nd WC start!!!

Wendy came so close today - corker of a second run, only beaten by MS.

So who knows? Maybe Holdener has a great season - and a win - ahead of her. Let's hope so, she's deserving.

Both Ava Sunshine Jemison and Katie Hensien in the points. Laurence Saint-Germain also had a great day - perhaps she's finding speed again.
