It was either my Sophmore or Junior year on High School, I has the Rossignol Tech Rep living on our property. I recall him getting one of the first pairs of SX90 Equipes in the country to test. At that point I was blown away by the boot and how different it was to anything else that was out there. This had to be about 80-81, I forget.

My ski school director was a Salomon rep. He got his around Christmas of 81 or January of 82, don't recall exactly. I just remember thinking I might as well go back to Hansons if I'm considering those things.. Looked like Hansons with a cable strap running around the liner to me.. wasn't interested at all.. Nordica Comps were working just fine, probably the best boot I ever owned..

I have always liked this painting, but the reflection is incorrect. The skis are close together as if the skier is skiing moguls, but in the reflection the skier has a wide stance.

My late Solly SX 92 boots. Wore them 10 years ago when I returned to skiing following years of life getting in the way of skiing, taking a lesson at Alta and my instructor just shaking her head, in a bad way. I can't find a way to turn the picture View attachment 8113
