They played a lot of Talking Heads favorites.
I saw them open for Savoy Brown around this time, probably the first big concert we attended. We had heard the Small Faces & they were billed as such but “Featuring the extraordinary voice of Rod Stewart”. My brother had been to London that summer & heard them, he said we should pay attention. We didn’t realize that this was the same guy that had sung with Jeff Beck!
