Random thoughts…
They ran two DH’s last year, both from the top and Fuez has two Hahnenkamm trophies now - and just one behind Paris.
Seems they still have some open gondolas for naming when I was there but not sure how many. Here are some photos.
Prediction: Meyer, Fuez, Paris

Hoping the weather allows them to start from the top

Windy, new snow, lots of work to clear the course in the night. Not from the top today.

Cool drone footage which elevates the action. We can expect a lot can to happen in this department, to enhance the experience on screen.

Didn't watch the race (too much going on out here in SLC right now) but after looking at the results it certainly seems like they ran from the top today.

How could you forget ... THE Blaise Giezendanner?

Kilde just mastered the course today. Great that we (the French) snagged podium spots, but having one them be 41 and other a virtual unknown is not optimal...

Ganong and Bennett looked great and both made small errors that cost a few tenths. That "Bodes" well for Beijing.

Not quite from the top. Very windy for certain runs.

Nice win by Kilde. Hope the Londoner has some Aquavit. Bib #43 on the podium - pretty cool.
I looked at the time from bed and also initially thought it was from the top. Loks like they started it just below the first turn but above the Mausefalle.
Someday an American or Norwegian will win from the top. My guess is that it won't be Sunday - but would love to be wrong.

No start moved down a little.

Yeah, I see now that they started at the Mausefalle alternate start, which provides a slight bit of wind protection.

They almost ran the entire course but the top was at a much slower speed.
It certainly was not like the Rahlves (2003, 69.63") or Jansrud (2015, 58.16") wins - which were extremely short.

Considering the weakness of the French speed team, both men and women, we (the French) will take whatever crumb we can get!
