@Rainbow Jenny , that looks like a great tour around the winter solstice. love seeing all the snow. We were snow dreigend until after New Years.
@Mike Rogers thats a bit Micah though, hard not to become jealous.

seriously, glad at least some people are getting out and having a good time on skis.

It's been a while since I was on skis for last time... 3 week of trying to get back to normal after being sick and I'm finally back on skis... totally wasted after only 20km

But at least it finally feels like real winter

Steel tree BC this morning. Nice corduroy to ski down and company for the up. Getting some training in for our upcoming mountain trips.

Let fun begin Finally back in my happy place in Toblach and Pustertal, Italy. Didn't expect much after last 3 days of rain, but conditions today were great, and I would say it will get even better tomorrow and in next few days. So my timing was not as bad as I thought

Weather is great, snow is way better then expected, and I never get tired of views from Platzwiese/Prato Piazza... but I do get tired of those tracks at 2000m above sealevel, which are on pair with WC tracks, just some 1000m too high

One more day on classic skis in what they call nicest alpine valley on World.

No matter how much I enjoy this place, it's slowly time to pack our stuff and go home tomorrow, and get some rest, as I'm getting slightly wasted after week on xc skis and about 35 not so slow and easy kilometers each day But I hope for weather forecast will miss a bit for tomorrow, so we get another blue sky day on skis tomorrow before driving those 2h home

A sunny, and a not so sunny day in the Ferine Backcountry this holiday weekend.

Can't tell how much I envy you all this snow... now when I'm back home from Dolomites (and there was actually very little snow in Dolomites too), I'm stuck with this... until weekend when rain is forecasted up to 1500+m above sea level... then also this will be probably flushed away

Today when I went for some 20km on afternoon, I started at +10c and ended at 6pm at +7c, so you can imagine how good quality snow is.... like it would be end of April not middle of February.

Yes. I also had a set of BC90s and Tua Escapes in the box, but the Asnes ruled, even the rooted sections.

Picked up some gashes on the gravel road crossings but such is low tide XCD ski life.
