We got a bit of winter back yesterday with some 30cm new snow (too good to stop and take photos :P), but today, another front went over which should bring some more snow, but instead of this, it was mainly rain up to 1600m and above super strong wind. But few hours out in snow, even if more or less wet, and even if in some rain and strong winds is still better then sitting at home only watching skiing on tv instead of skiing myself. Besides, what's all goretex is for if not for such things

This "winter" we have is really weird... week ago 30cm of fresh snow, yesterday perfect spring skiing... on pretty much exactly same place. With sun, temperatures around +10c and more it was early start, but ice during night turned into pretty good skiing on first 2 descents, and really really bad slush on last descent to car.

After almost 3h we reached top of second mountain (peak of first one is just on right edge of the photo), and skiing down was way better then I could expect.

Face to face with our highest mountain :)

(Almost) last ascend of the day while looking back to top of second mountain of the day (peak on right side of the photo behind this wall closing couloir on right).

Skins off for last time and ready for almost 1000 height meters down to car. Part on photo was great, later down was just too much sun and way too warm.

Well, here in Minnesota we had no snow the last few weeks. Not even a tiny bit in the shade.
Everything was clear and dry. Very unusual for us.
The ski hill had actually pushed snow off the runs, to be able to get the XC course in shape for the big races this weekend and today.

And suddenly we get more than a foot of heavy snow!

So we hit up he ski hill for some steel tree bc:
