Whales at Canaan.... on the small side.

Can't find any of Blue Knob or Massanutten... the ones at Massanutten were large - may 12 feet tall looking up at them from below?

Six pack is running today with all of the chairs. It's a great day at Tline Mtn.
What’s next, loads on both chairs?
So impressive!!!
With all that’s going on in the Tucker area, is $10 a viable salary for TL personnel, especially the lifty ambassadors?!?
wonder what Canaan pays and how all at TLM will impact them?!? I suspect that a lot of the CVSP jobs, even at the CV ski area are year round jobs with benefits.

They were running the quad Saturday, Sunday and Monday and moved to the six pack yesterday. All chairs appear to be on bothlifts. Fire Marshall came by today. Not sure what his role is. Some type of inspectors were climbing all of the six pack poles this afternoon. Other info - surveyors have been marking all of the boundaries of timberline this week. There are pink ribbons at all of the metal stakes. They told me that it was 445 acres in total. I asked about the western boundaries and was told that part was easy because the Canaan Valley Wildlife Conservancy had done a great job if marking it. I asked about the part of Salamander that crosses into Dolly Sods. They said the boundary goes right down the middle of the road (Salamander)up there. I'll try to walk up tomorrow to see where the ribbons are.

Cmon, you’ve skied worse in VT.
It’s the damn groomer parking that I hate, Dirt. So they drag it out and turn our nice snow brown on that trail.

See, with no groomers around for 2 months it’s just the dust:

May 17th, 2020. Ironically, it would’ve been a good spring.

Last weekend of season during bad snow year. I think during the last Gathering held at T-Line. Cmon, you’ve skied worse in VT.
That wasn't the Gathering... that was a more recent year, and it was bad. This was the Gathering on the 70 degree day:

Read the linked post. Posted in December, I stated pictures were taken end of the previous year. I kinda do remember pictures I've taken. I remember skiing OTW very well the day the pictures were taken.
I don't think he is talking about the picture you posted?

I think he was talking about the picture I posted? Since I posted it in December of 2018.
I think we have some disconnect. If you follow the quotes up it goes to pics from timberlines taken around Christmas. I apologize for the miscommunication.

Confuzzlement. The pix I linked was from the Gathering.
Oh... yeah. But none of the posts after yours are referring to your pic. Jimmy posted the dirty-snow-at-the-base pic just after that, and the question from James was about that one (and the rest of this confusing discussion).

Here is the latest at T-Line. To answer the question about the Fire Marshal on site. It looks like they are using the fire hydrant next the hotel to fill the boxes for the load testing. So it requires permission/cooperation from the fire department. The boxes are ready to go.

The 6pack was running at full speed bringing some Doppie crews to the Summit. If it runs at the speed it was running today. Lots of laps will to be made. Still no signs of the carpet for the beginner area on site anywhere. I wish I upload the video of the lift at full speed.

The lodge is looking great, the F & B crew was checking out the new equipment on the deck. The trenches are being dug to run utility lines for the fan guns based locations of them.

The only question I have was all those ground fan guns in the maintenance lot. Are they the old ones or refurbished ones? One final comment, I spoke with the crew down at the Ski Barn on rt 32 and they mentioned that pretty much all real estate in the valley has been scooped up except for a couple of ugly ones where land is worth more than the house itself.
