Need more obviously, but this is good to see. Check the guy with the snowblower lower right corner! Looks to be knee deep!

NOAA at times had 20-30+ inches predicted for the peak at AZSB. Snotel is a bit disappointing.

50/50 if I make it up tomorrow

I'm watching the Friday storm. Decided not to head up last week due to the one run open.
Good call.

if this season is a repeat of last year this will likely be my last pass here. I’ll save my money for somewhere else.

25" to 40" fell at Purg in the last 24 hours. Snowfall totals are dependent on where you are on the hill, and aspect. Game on!

Hit me up if anyone comes this way.
Are they opening a lot of terrain? If so I may be inbound very soon.

Per twitter,

"The Arizona Gondola is currently undergoing weather-related maintenance which may cause a temporary delay in opening. GCX and Little Spruce will be open on schedule. Check back for more updates."

But not going to lie...had hoped for more new openings etc.. before comitting to the drive tomorrow. But I do need to test out the old knee before committing to flying to Colorado in Jan.

Yes. No idea on stats yet, but my guess is everything of of the front side and lift 3 will be open. Even if they open 8, I still need to see another 20" of snow fall before I ski back there.

I was up yesterday and was excited to hopefully see snowmaking on ridge but they hadn’t yet. That was a bummer. 14 inches isn’t going to get anything opened unfortunately.

If I really had to ski tomorrow I’d be on Snowbowl road by 7:45 to get an early chair and be done by 11. It really isn’t worth it right now with the crowds.

Wolf Creek is reporting a 47" base at mid-mountain. But only 50% open. Still, they are expecting another big hit middle of next week too. If we weren't committed to CO for the holidays, that's where we'd be driving to.

Appreciate you sharing! By that logic, are they close to opening anything else? Volcano or Casino?

I was going to throw in the snowboard as well just to have more options to stay entertained.

Possibly. I heard the new snow was dense so maybe volcano? That’s a big maybe tho so don’t count on it.

Nah. I was there today - did one run and done with the crazy lift line at GCE and the crazy cluster-#$%^ on the only run. The snow was also v crappy as the new snow was chopped into the sticky man-made stuff. I looked down Volcano and it doesn't have enough coverage yet, unless you're using your rock skis. Plus loads of kids on snowboards going too fast for the number of people on the slope ... Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, a great day.

Well costco tire center damaged multiple tire studs meaning that I'm going to be out a day of skiing and a few hundred getting it fixed.
