I am not a number. I AM A FREE MAN!Ok, so it’s spring here in LA so the annual rite of “ old men bringing out there Sunday drivers” has begun. Todays offerings, a Lotus and and old Alfa ( yellow in the back of the shot) We see Supercars here on an hourly basis, these are far more rare and interesting and fun IMO. View attachment 199988
When I was a young kid my next door neighbor who was a surgeon had a 62 Vette (his was green & white)! His son & I were about the same age & good friends. One night when I was about 5 or 6 he took us out somewhere & got an emergency call. Seatbelts were not a big thing back then but I remember him quickly strapping us both snugly into the passenger seat & speeding us to the hospital at what l can only guess was close to 100mph. When we arrived l remember him giving us a stern look & saying “don’t tell your mom!” I’ll never forget that car!!Yesterday this was parked on the north shore of Boston in front of my pharmacy.
It's from 1962, impeccably restored.

A good view from the front was blocked by this post. They were installed in front of the shop after an old guy ran into the window a few years ago.

All the parts are true to the original. Almost everything is red. No paint chips anywhere, no wear on the leather. No dust, no crumbs. Spic and Span.

....and you'll see this same truck in about 35 years, a bit dented and rusting, maybe a few bullet holes, but still running like a top.
Of the 2 dozen trips we have had to Summit County, I think there might have been 1-2 visits that we din't see a test vehicle.Today after skiing Breck in the morning I took my dog for a walk on Loveland Pass.

An entire squadron of them.
Ford? GM? Ram/Dodge? Toyota? ...
