These are couple of shots in a sequence showing an adult Pine Siskin feeding one of its chicks. The "chick" is nearly as big as the parent, and is perfectly able to fly and eat sunflower seeds itself, but it demands partially digested food from the parent as often as possible.
You can clearly see the regurgitated food in two of the shots, and some bird saliva in another. Ugh!
